PSYCHO-SOCIAL SERVICE

 

A. Objectives:
1. To provide opportunities for the deaf to enjoy the right to achieve self-respect as well

as a rightful place in the world of sound.

2. To help in the personality development of the deaf through dignity of work, self-conifidence

and optimun development of their potentials, thus assuring them some measure of security

and happiness.

B. Plan of Action:
1. Establish interpreter services, especially in legal case.

2. Hire a professionally trained social worker to take care of the family life education

and family counselling services.

3. Financial Assistance (Medical, Dental, Material transportation; Housing or Cash)
a. Establish a stable volunteer corps. of doctors and dentists.
b. Set aside a definite annual budget for material or cash assistance.

4. Referral services.
