EDUCATIONAL

 

A. Objectives:
1. To provide sign language and general language building to illiterate deaf people in order not to leave them

at serious disadvantage because of communication barrier.

2. To encourage reading and writing among deaf adults.

3. To enable a deaf child to communicate effectively either through oral or finger-spelling at an early age.

4. To provide the deaf child opportunity for the full use of this means of communication through activities.

5. To help them adjust socially to the hearing community.

6. To help parents of the deaf accept deafness in the family.

B. Plan of Action:
1. Develop further, education for illiterate deaf.

2. Improve the facilities for the pre-school.

3. Initinto education for parents with deaf children.

4. Scholarship; a. establish with funding organization for

the purpose of secking scholarship for staff towards professional

advancement in the field of deafness.

b. secure sponsors for scholarship of deserving deaf students.

5. Establish group discussion sessions on citizenship and leadership.

6. Establish communication skills program - to reinforces a most

important bridge in the successful vacational rehabilitation of

the deaf clients and underestanding of communication barriers deaf people.
